I have been in private practice since 1993.
Prior to that time, I worked as a middle and high school English teacher which included
teaching the gifted, as well as remedial students.
I created and taught courses in mediation and interpersonal communications for high school students,
and later worked as an elementary school district counselor. It was here that I learned ways to handle
acting-out children, as well as facilitating meetings for those students with various disabilities.
My training includes counseling at Grossmont Hospice, San Diego State University,
Douglas Young Outpatient Clinic, and the Escondido Youth Encounter. These required in depth work with
children and their parents, teens, college students, and those with mood disorders.
